Elder Scrolls Online Dives Into Update 40’s Group Finder And Grand Master Crafting Stations

ZeniMax Online Studios will be making it easier for Elder Scrolls Online players to find adventuring companions when the Group Finder tool makes its way to the fantasy MMORPG next month. The Group Finder will go live as part of Update 40 and will give players a more convenient way of grouping up for various activities.

According to the studio, players will be able to use the feature to look for groups or members to join trial and dungeon runs, world boss hunts, PvP bouts in Cyrodiil, or any type of group-related content, including roleplay and other social events.

“Group content can be difficult to break into when you don't have a social circle or are just stepping into it,” said Lead UI Designer Bobby Weir. “We aimed to create a tool that would help bridge that gap and make it easier for folks to meet others with similar goals. This is especially true for content that requires a group but doesn't have an easy way to find one.”

In addition to the Group Finder tool, Update 40 will also introduce Grand Master Crafting Stations which will reduce the clutter in player houses by drastically reducing the continuously ballooning pool of Attunable Crafting Stations to just four.

“Grand Master Crafting Stations build on our prior Attunable Crafting Stations and help to solve a fundamental problem with the way they expand over time,” Senior Systems Designer Cullen Lee explained. “If you’ve got 75+ sets for four different professions, that’s 300+ crafting stations to organize. They also eat up a huge chunk of your home’s furnishing budget, and that problem gets bigger with every zone. With Grand Master Crafting Stations, you can squish all those sets down into a single station per trade skill.”
