Elyon Begins CBT1 Today, Client Now Available For Pre-Download

This is it ladies and gentlemen, Elyon, formerly Ascent: Infinite Realm, has finally taken its first step towards a western launch with the start of closed beta testing later today. CBT1 will be open to players in North America, Europe, and Oceania and will run from 5am PDT today until 1am PDT on May 10.

“Over the past few years Elyon (formerly known as A:IR) has gone through vast changes in many parts of the gameplay experience, from leveling flow adjustments to the conversion of the combat system into action combat. While the developers are continuously working on making Elyon a more fun MMORPG, we at Kakao Games are preparing at an ever-increasing pace to release in the west. [. . .] We know the wait has been long, we nonetheless hope you’re still excited to try out the content Elyon has to offer and help us make meaningful changes for the western release.”

Those who were lucky enough to be selected to participate in the first round of testing will be now able to pre-download the client in preparation for the test. CBT1 participants will also get an extra key that they can give to a friend.

If you didn’t get an invite but have a friend who did, then you still have a few hours to grovel for that key. Kakao Games will also be running events and promotions where they’ll be giving out CBT access so stay tuned. Details can be found on the Elyon official site.
