Embers Adrift Launcher And Website Back Online After Crashing On Launch Day
Just when it looked like it was smooth sailing for Embers Adrift following its relatively problem-free launch, the game’s launcher and website suddenly broke down towards the end of launch day. Those who were still logged-in when the problem occurred weren’t affected but those trying to get in had to resort to a temporary workaround as Stormhaven Studios scrambled to get the launcher working again.
According to the studio’s report, the problem stemmed from an error during a cloud service upgrade which broke both the launcher and website but left the login server intact, allowing players to bypass the launcher by directly using the game’s .exe file. The issue has since been fixed and players can now dive back in to the D&D-inspired old school MMORPG.
