En Masse Entertainment announced today that its Alliance of Valiant Arms service has entered Open Beta. The game won't be launching in full until later this year, but there will be no more wipes from here on out. All of your progress and purchases will remain intact as long as En Masse continues to host it.

The Open Beta update introduced a new event mode called AVA Sports. In this event mode, players take part in the Bar Crossing, Breakthrough, Relay, Shooting, and Super Jump events. You can find footage of the new mode embedded below.

Additionally, if you played the game during the time that Aeria Games published it and want to transfer your account, you read how to transfer it here. Account transfers will be available until October 31st.

Matt's Take:

I never really got into Alliance of Valiant Arms, but I know quite a few people liked the game before it started to trend towards the pay-to-win side of things. En Masse has been a fairly good publisher thus far—TERA's business model is quite good—and one of its first acts as publisher was to add new content to the game. There's hope yet, granted it doesn't end up like Zombies Monsters Robots.
