The mighty banhammer has fallen on thousands of cheaters in Escape from Tarkov over the weekend and their names have been posted for all of the internet to see. Battlestate Games reports that it’s banned over 4,000 cheaters (although TechCrunch says it’s actually closer to 6700) with the help of its anti-cheat software and released a spreadsheet publicly listing all of the banned players’ handles.

“We have decided to resume the practice of sharing the information about large ban waves done with the support of BattleEye anticheat,” tweeted Battlestate. “We want honest players to see the nicknames of cheaters to know that justice has been served and the cheater who killed them in a raid has been punished and banned.”

While it’s an uncommon practice to expose the names of cheaters, it’s also been done by big-name studios like ArenaNet, Nexon, and CCP Games at one time or another. Bethesda and Daybreak have even demanded that cheaters written apologies and essays to have their accounts reinstated. The cheaters that Battlestate recently banned, however, won’t be getting that chance.
