EverQuest 2’s 2023 Roadmap Reveals Major Update And Expansion Launch Windows
Darkpaw Games offers the community a glimpse at all of the juicy things coming to EverQuest 2 this year in its 2023 development roadmap. Of significant note is the launch of the long-running MMORPG’s 20th expansion and its 19th anniversary celebration in November.
Before that, players can look forward to the release of Game Update 122 in April which promises new quests and raids, a new contested dungeon, more tradeskill content, new collections, the start of Overseer Season 5, and a new PvP time-locked expansion server. Game Update 123 will follow four months later in August.
Darkpaw will also be unlocking two new Renewal of Ro raid zones in January, the opening of Varsoon’s Fallen Dynasty in February, AI improvements for mercenaries in May, and the addition of a new equipment slot for event-exclusive content in June.
The studio is also planning to launch an EverQuest 2 Swag Store later this year and promises a DirectX 11 API port sometime after 2023.
