EverQuest Is Finally Legal, Let The Celebrations Begin!

EverQuest is finally of legal age—at least where I live—and there are plenty of events and goodies to celebrate its 18th Anniversary. Much has changed since 1999, and now EverQuest is the wise hermit on the block who can still party with the kids.

To commeorate the event, the Daybreak team is introducing two new player-designed missions, a new quest, new rewards through the jubilant merchant, and the bonus experience switch is locked to On until the end of March. Plus, everyone who's been playing EverQuest gets a free Heroic Character.

There's also a heartfelt Producer's Letter which thanks the community and outlines the future:

We are incredibly grateful for you, our community, who’ve continued to breathe life into Norrath for these many, many years. This game and its audience are truly unprecedented! As for us, we've had our heads down working on the game and planning for the year. We are ready to talk about our immediate plans!

One thing EverQuest still has over every other game, and always will in my opinion: No one can beat its fantastical box art by Keith Parkinson. Love it.

Will you be celebrating EverQuest's 18th anniversary?
