Final Fantasy XIV Will End PS3 Support When Stormblood Releases

Square Enix has announced that they will no longer support the Playstation 3 edition of Final Fantasy XIV when the next expansion, Stormblood, releases. Starting March 18, 2017 (this Saturday), the automatic renewal of PS3 players' 90-day recurring subscriptions will be suspended.

If you have a PS4, or plan to get one, you PS3 players will be able to upgrade your account to the PS4 version free of charge—as ought to be expected.
