Final Fantasy XIV Disables World Visits And Housing Demolition Timers Due To Technical Issues

So you just logged into Final Fantasy XIV and decided to visit your friend on a different world so you can tackle the new Death Unto Dawn content together. Normally, you could easily do that by using the World Visit system but unfortunately, you won’t be able to do so for the next couple of days as the developers try to sort out technical issues with the said system.

If you did manage to visit your friend before they shut the system down, then you’ll have no choice but to keep each other company while the team works on a fix. What are friends for, right? If you’re worried about your house being demolished while you’re gone, you can rest easy knowing that Square Enix has you covered. Housing auto-demolition timers have been temporarily turned off to ensure that players still have a house to go home to when everything returns to normal.

In case you’re wondering, it takes 45 days of inactivity before a player-owned house is automatically demolished. Hopefully, it doesn’t take that long for the team to come up with a fix.
