It’s been a year since Square Enix suspended the housing demolition timer in Final Fantasy XIV until further notice in response to the long queues that followed Endwalker’s launch. The studio planned to reinstate the timer back in February but then Russia decided to invade Ukraine and the team decided to just leave it off for the time being.

Notice has now been given come as the studio announces that it will start demolishing houses again after a certain period of inactivity starting next year. The housing demolition timer will start counting down the days until you lose your house with the release of Patch 6.3 which is scheduled for release in early January.

Players are advised to visit their respective houses before the timer is re-enabled as it will start counting down from the moment it was suspended. This means that if you haven’t entered your house within the last 45 days, you’re going to lose it. You’ve been warned.
