Final Fantasy XIV Letter From The Producer Drops More Death Unto Dawn Info And A New Trailer
Final Fantasy XIV Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida reveals more information about Patch 5.5: Death unto Dawn in his latest Letter from the Producer LIVE stream. He also announced that the game has reached a new milestone with 22 million registered players.
As for the upcoming patch, it’s going to be divided into two parts and will set the stage for the Endwalker expansion, the game’s fourth and final expansion in the A Realm Reborn storyline. Death unto Dawn Part 1 will arrive on April 13 and will feature new MSQs, the third chapter in the YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse alliance raids, the Sorrow of Werlyt finale, the new The Cloud Deck trial, the new Paglth'an dungeon, and more.
The release of Patch 5.5 will also mark the start of the PlayStation 5 open beta test which will be open to all players who own the PS4 version and new PS5 players jumping in through the free trial. The PS5 version will offer support for 4K resolution, higher framerates, lightning-fast load times, DualSense haptic feedback, 3D audio, and new trophies.
