Final Fantasy XIV Sales To Resume On January 25 As Work Continues To Alleviate Overpopulation
Final Fantasy XIV Executive Producer Naoki Yoshida is back with an update on the overpopulation issues that have been plaguing the game since the Endwalker expansion launched early last month. Yoshida assures the community that they’re working to fix the issues as fast as possible but, unfortunately, it’s still going to take a while due to the ongoing global semiconductor shortage.
In his latest letter to the community, Yoshida details the steps that the team has taken to remedy the situation, including their plans to add a new data center for the Oceania region on January 25th. For those who have yet to buy the game, the executive producer announced that sales will be resuming on January 26th and that world transfers will be re-enabled on the same day.
The team will also be adding more login slots to the Japanese region and will be opening additional servers in the North American and European regions later this year, specifically August for NA and July for EU.
