Final Fire Enters International Closed Beta

After stunning users on Greenlight to the point that it was greenlit in under two weeks, the prospective players were eager to know when they could get their hands on Final Fire, the tank, warship, and aircraft wargame by Chinese company ZQGame. It seems that time is now, as a press release sent out today announced that the international closed beta has begun. You might wonder why the "international" part is important. The reason for that is that there is a caveat; the website and at least parts of the client are still in Chinese. The closed beta phase is intended for China and "select English speaking territories around the world." Unfortunately, the press release does not mention which territories.

The closed beta already features access to "Chinese, Soviet, American, British and Middle Eastern units. From tanks and aircrafts to gunships and light utility vehicles, no granular detail was spared in their respective in-game re-creations." A variety so large that they call it an "encyclopedia of vehicles" is available for users to enter the battlefield with. Vehicles can receive "cosmetic and practical upgrades" that can increase the power of the vehicles. Map design is said to complement the vehicles by providing "seemingly unlimited ways to develop and execute their battle strategy and team positioning." As producer Steven Li put it, "the dynamic, interactive environments help play in to the visual realism we want to present."

Interested parties can sign up on the official website. You will want to visit the site on Google Chrome because it is only available in Simplified Chinese. Perhaps it will be worth a look. By providing aircraft, gunships, and tanks all in one setting, it already has an advantage over its nearest competitors. At least when looked at from the outside.
