Find Out What Exactly ArcheAge Begins Is During Its Android-Exclusive Closed Beta

GAMEVIL announced yesterday via Facebook that an Android-exclusive Closed Beta test for ArcheAge Begins has begun, which means that we also finally get to find out what exactly the game is. While GAMEVIL had opened pre-registration for the game last July, subsequently announcing last September that the game would launch globally during Q1 2017, the company had revealed very little about its mobile spin-off o PC sandbox MMORPG ArcheAge.

Yesterday, with the launch of Closed Beta, we got quite a few more details about the game. Combat is mostly automated, much like games like League of Angels or Lineage Red Knights, but, in place of character-based skills, players influence the tides of battle by using cards at opportune times.

But ArcheAge Begins isn't just another clone of the kind of game we've seen a million times before; it also integrates a number of features from the PC game, including fishing, raising livestock, crafting, trading, and the ability to sell items you've made on the auction house. You can even send out "merchant vessels" that can then be attacked, and even looted, by other players.

Other features include the typical Boss Raid mode, a Territory Battle mode, an "Annihilation Battle" mode, the ability to "become an Honorable Lord" by distinguishing yourself in battle, and more.

You can read more about ArcheAge Begins on the Google Play store page, which is incidentally where you can also download the Closed Beta client. The Closed Beta test began yesterday and will run until March 30th.
