First Look At Escape From Tarkov Unveiled

Our first real look at Escape From Tarkov is here as various screenshots, concept art, and details have been unveiled. Two screenshots can be found below among the concept art and, while they aren't quite on the level the trailer was on, they are quite atmospheric. They are only screenshots of the environment, however, and we currently have no idea how the character models will look in-game.

The story of the game is that two private military companies, USEC and BEAR, were hired by two sides of a conflict taking place in Norvinsk oblast, a fictional transitional region between Europe and Russia. USEC works for a company called Terra Group and it is their goal to keep local authorities from investigating their employers. They supposedly are giving protection to "the illegal practices of a foreign company." BEAR, on the other hand, was created by the Russian government to join Norvinsk authorities in investigating the Terra Group.

Players must take a side and work to survive long enough to leave. The city of Tarkov is blockaded by Russian and UN forces, with supply lines and communication with the outer world cut off. Every day, new gangs, called scavs, start their own battle for territories. How will you escape?
