First Realm Adventure League Alpha Dates Announced

Last week, the team at V²Leagues canceled the Kickstarter campaign for Realm Adventure League following an ever slowing increase in the amount of money raised. They had banked most of their campaign on the idea that backers would want to design their own characters, guilds, or clans, and it hadn't worked out as well as they had hoped. So they canceled the Kickstarter and redoubled their efforts on getting the alpha into players' hands faster.

Their efforts seem to have paid off as the first Realm Adventure League alpha will be beginning on December 13th, a few months sooner than their initial projections for Kickstarter backers. The test will run until December 22nd. It appears that it will be available to anyone that signs up for the alpha, although that may always change.

A select few will still get a chance to design a character, guild, or clan, but the slots will be as limited as they were before—if not more—and there will not be a payment required to do so. Players will submit ideas for guilds and clans with the best ones—however that is going to be decided—being put into the game. Characters will be a bit more lenient, but they have not announced how they will proceed on that front just yet.
