Gala Lab’s Flyff Universe reboot has surpassed the 800K player mark a month after the browser-based MMORPG’s launch. Not too shabby for a browser game and nearly-twenty-year-old franchise. The developers are looking to keep the momentum going with numerous updates planned for this summer.

“With over 800,000 players since its global launch, Flyff Universe offers an easy pick up and play experience for newcomers and veterans of the 2005 original,” said Gala Labs. “Graphics have been overhauled to include antialiasing, advanced shaders, and more ways to modernize the visuals. This reimaging has been a collaboration between Gala Lab and Sniegu Technologies, a team of lifelong fans of the original PC version, providing a game that’s been made by players, for players.”

Over the next few months, players can expect a long list of new content. This includes the opening of the fully-remade Azria continent which comes with new questlines, new music, visual improvements, and a level-cap increase. Further down the line, the team will be introducing a revamped version of the Volkane dungeon along with a new batch of questlines, a new boss, new Bloody equipment, more graphical improvements, and the addition of pet and harvesting systems.

There’s no timeline for the new content releases but we’ll let you know as soon as any word comes out. You can also check out the full summer roadmap below for a detailed list of what’s coming to the Flyff reboot.
