Fortnite Dev Update Details Development Plans Including More Limited Time Modes

fortnite pumpkin helmetFortnite is dominating the Battle Royale arena and Epic Games is determined to keep it that way. According to a recent developer update, the studio is hard at work working on improving the game and introducing new content and more limited time game modes such as the Solo Showdown, the studio’s first attempt at a more competitive mode, and Playground which will give players more time and resources for building. A permanent 50vs50 mode might also be introduced in the future.

“Battle and build to your heart's content with an extended period of time to roam around the map as well as increased resource generation. All treasure chests and ammo crates will be spawned, try droppin’ in different spots and scope out the loot. Friendly fire is on so you can scrimmage with your squad (up to 4 friends per match), but fear not you’ll respawn immediately.”

Epic is also making the game more controller-friendly with improvements to the Builder Pro and Turbo Building and the introduction of aim assist in Edit Mode. The devs are also working on custom bindings which should make life a whole lot easier for controller-users.

Players can also look forward to in-world markers, a higher resolution mini-map, better audio and footsteps, an improved replay system, better overall performance, and even more Llamas. Find out more by visiting the Fortnite official site.
