Gamers who want to try out Fractured Online but would rather not spend their hard-earned money will be able to do so for a limited time starting next week. Gamigo and Dynamight Studios will be running a week-long free play event from 7:00am PDT on May 25th until the same time on May 31st giving curious fans a chance to join backers in its ongoing closed beta test.

“During the free week, MMORPG fans are invited to log into the world of Fractured Online during its Closed Beta Test to explore the continent of Aerhen, where Humans largely preside, and unique biomes will push players’ survival instincts to the max. The mountains are cold and unforgiving; the volcanic region is hot and oppressive; sudden torrential downpours plague the steppe biome. The only redeeming quality is the tundra region as it has fewer weather anomalies. Unfortunately, there are plenty of creatures to worry about. Jotunns, Mammoths, Arctic Wolves, and various Elementals are just some of the ferocious fauna players will come across when they visit this new land.”

Players who enjoyed their time in the game and want to continue their progress will need to purchase one of the currently available Founder’s Packs which are currently being offered at a discount. Prices start at €25.99 for the Bronze pack all the way up to €129.99 for the Platinum pack.

“There’s plenty to do within the free week, such as taking part in a robust player-driven economy, crafting items and gear for personal use or trade, or take up arms again various monsters or other players in PvE/PvP combat,” said Dynamight Studios CEO and Co-Founder Jacopo Gallelli. “What players do in game is completely up to them as they can either live an honest life as a shepherd, farmer, or crafter, or choose a more violent path of hunting and scavenging.”

The press release also teased new content coming to the sandbox MMORPG ahead of its winter launch. The Wildfolk race and their home planet of Arboreus and endgame PvP events will be arriving in summer, while the Demon race and the planet Tartaros will be making their way to the game in fall along with religions and an expanded crafting system.
