Paddle Creek Games recently shared an intriguing progress report on their survival shooter game, Fractured Veil, which showcases an armor made from a Spam can of all things. The team also showed off several other imaginative pieces of gear, including bamboo guns, an assault rifle with a coconut for added impact, and a beautifully engraved wooden rifle.

The highlight, however, was the “Sham” can armor, a hodgepodge creation combining various elements to capture the true essence of a post-apocalyptic armor.

Accompanying the gear preview were several picturesque location shots, powered by Unreal Engine 5.1. Unfortunately, the showcased environments have yet to enter production due to performance concerns. Nevertheless, the development team expressed determination in addressing bugs and refining systems to deliver this visually enhanced version of Hawaii to eager testers. However, this will result in a delay for the Steam playtests to sometime after May.

While you’re waiting on the opportunity to explore the world of Fractured Veil, you can take a gander at the pretty screenshots here.
