Funcom Reveals Official Launch Date For Chibi-Style Action RPG Conan Chop Chop

conan chop chop dungeon brains bannerFuncom’s Conan Chop Chop, a.k.a. that game that everybody thought was an April Fool’s joke, has just gotten an official launch date. The chibi-style action game was initially scheduled to launch back in September but was pushed back to give the developers time to expand the game’s multiplayer mode from “couch co-op” to full online multiplayer, one of the most-requested features during the game’s testing.

“Conan Chop Chop was cheekily announced on April 1st, 2019, and therefore at first perceived as an April Fool’s Day joke, but with gamers and pundits alike stating ‘I wish this were real’. When it was re-announced during E3, it received rave previews. A journalist from Hollywood Reporter noted ‘The most fun I saw anybody having was with the game Conan Chop Chop’, calling it ‘a top-notch party game’.”

“We have had so much fun developing this game, that I actually have mixed feelings about the end being nigh,” says Mighty Kingdom CEO Philip Mayes. “An action-adventure rogue-lite party-game. Featuring Conan. I mean, what more can you ask for? It’s the perfect single-player game. But even better with friends.”

Conan Chop Chop officially launches on February 25, 2020 on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
