Generation Zero To Introduce Base-Building Mechanics With The Upcoming ‘Resistance’ Update

generation zero resistance update bannerAfter a year of hiding and scavenging through the post-apocalyptic world, the survivors of Generation Zero are finally ready to band together and fight back against the robot invaders. Developer Systemic Reactions, a subsidiary of Avalanche Studios Group, is giving them the tools to do so in the upcoming Resistance update.

“Now there is hope. Now we are united. Now we are the first brick in a resistance and we are building, building back our resources. Allies and neighbors in arms because what is coming is not a skirmish. It’s a war.”

The update will introduce the highly-awaited base building mechanics to the multiplayer survival first-person shooter. New base defense encounters will also be added where players will have to fight back waves of enemies to defend their home base along with new mechanized threats and a revamp of key map locations.

Generation Zero has seen a massive spike in its playerbase over the past 30 days and has recently received “Very Positive” reviews on Steam. Player numbers will probably continue to soar once the Resistance updates hits the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 27.

The game is currently available at 70% off on Steam as part of the platform’s weekend deal. If you’re interested, you can check out the new update trailer below for a glimpse of what the game has to offer.
