Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street announced on Twitter earlier today that he's stepping down from his role at Riot Games. He was previous the Executive Producer on Riot's upcoming MMORPG. While no specific reason was provided for his departure, he cited both 'personal and professional' considerations.

While an an executive producer quitting isn't the end of the project by any means, it likely means there's at least some turmoil behind the scenes. Still, Ghostcrawler remained optimistic and ended his tweet by saying that he will "playing the Riot MMO when it comes out".

Many view the Riot Games MMORPG as the last chance for a truly new triple A PC MMORPG. While we still get new PC MMORPG releases, they're rarely big budget titles.
