hood outlaws and legends keyart bannerSteal from the rich and give to the poor… or keep it all for yourself in Hood: Outlaws and Legends, a new team-based PvPvE game from Sumo Newcastle and publisher Focus Home Interactive. As you might have guessed from the title, the game is inspired by the legend of Robin Hood and is set in a medieval world where the rich take from the poor and it’s up to you and your band of merry thieves to set things straight.

“Faced with a merciless, unchecked state, rebels and rogues from every corner battle to claim their place among legends. To win influence with an oppressed people, rival gangs now compete in daring heists to hit the wealthy where it hurts. Folk hero or gold-hungry outlaw, only the best will escape with hard-earned riches.”

According to the press release, two teams of four players are tasked with infiltrating a location and stealing the riches within. Teams can either go in aggressively and take down enemy AI patrols or use stealth to complete the objective. The two teams will eventually come across each other resulting in a full-blown PvP battle.

The game is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC in 2021. Players can sign up for the official newsletter and a chance to get a beta invite on the game’s official site. The game is also now available for wishlisting on Steam.
