Jagex, the UK based developer behind RuneScape, reported a record breaking year with $122M in revenue in 2018, up 9.3% from 2017. Perhaps more impressively though, profits before tax were $61M, which puts the company's profit margin at 50%. RuneScape also reports having its highest number of paid memberships ever.

No word on the previously reported sale of Jagex. To recap - Fukong Interactive, the Chinese owner of Jagex, said they were looking at a sale of either part or all of its holdings in Jagex back in January. Nothing has materialized yet, but given RuneScape's continued strong performance, I suspect a sale of Jagex will fetch at least $700M.
