Keep The Throne From Being Stolen By Mages In Neverwinter: The Cloaked Ascendancy

It seems like the only thing more contested than thrones in high fantasy media is pineapple on pizza. Today brings with it Neverwinter's latest expansion, The Cloaked Ascendancy, and it tasks players with stopping "a group of four mages ripped from the Cloak Tower during the Spellplague" from attempting to steal the throne from Lord Neverember. In order to do this, the game takes them back to the City of Neverwinter—The River District, to be precise—where they must take the district back from said mages, who have "annexed" it.

In addition to the new Adventure Zone, The River District, and a new Campaign, The Cloaked Ascendancy introduces a revamped Master version of the Spellplague Caverns dungeon, a new Skirmish called "The Illusionist's Gambit," and new artifact weapons.

The Cloaked Ascendancy went live on PC today; the console versions will get the update at a later time. You can find the full set of patch notes here.
