Latest ARK: Survival Evolved Patch Introduces New TEK Structures, Four New Creatures

Now that ARK: Survival Evolved's TEK Tier is here, it seems that Studio Wildcard can begin to release new TEK content at a steady rate. On Sunday, the team released a new update that includes a TEK Forcefield and TEK Autodoors.

The update also includes four new creatures. They are as follows.

  • The "Electrophorus Beluadomito" is a new type of Knifefish that will electrocute its prey.
  • The "Microraptor Gnarilongus" is a predator that will attack "anything its size or smaller." They can jump and "do short glides" in addition to chasing players on foot and are said to be "incredibly dangerous alone or in packs."
  • The "Ammonitina Multiamicus" is essentially a large nautilus. When attacked, all nearby sea creatures will rush to its aid. Should you defeat one, however, its shell is rare and valuable, as is its bile, which "can be used to concoct a unique new pheromone dart."
  • The "Thylacoleo Furtimorsus" is also known as the "marsupial lion." It ambushes those who venture into the game's redwood forests and crushes their necks.

The update also includes a new hair style, a new beard style, more than 30 new Explorer notes, and improves server performance. Additionally, the game now features a "per-Tribe Dino Tame limit," which has been set to 500 on the official PvE servers.
