Latest MapleStory M Update Introduces The Buccaneer And Marksman Explorer Classes
Nexon has just released a major update for their mobile fantasy MMORPG MapleStory M. The update introduces two new Explorers into the game: the Buccaneer and the Marksman, along with a new Expedition Boss.
“The all-new Buccaneer Explorer allows players to engage in thrilling close combat with overpowering charged up attacks. Meanwhile, the Marksman Explorer is lethal with its crossbow giving higher critical damage from close range, whereas it gives higher final damage with farther range. These Explorers join a fray of characters ready to challenge the latest Expedition Boss: Corrupted Empress Cygnus. Upon defeat of Corrupted Empress Cygnus, players can obtain the Dream Stone, which can be used to craft the ‘Empress Equipment Set.’”
The update also brings with it Link Skills and Secondary Weapons. “Link skills grant the ability to teach characters in the same server a special skill,” says Nexon. “With secondary weapons, players can equip two weapons for ferocious and diverse attack combinations, a power unlike ever before!”
Today’s update also marks the start of a number of in-game events. From now until June 19th, new Explorers from level 3-75 will get three bonus levels every time they level up and will be rewarded with a Growth Support Box upon reaching certain levels. Players who login from now until May 30th will receive a reward bundle which includes a Character Slot Coupon, a Pet Package, Auto-Battle Charge Tickets, and Epic/Mysterious Whetstones. Explorers can also grab Turnabout Event Boxes containing unique rewards until June 6th which will then be replaced by a BBQ event running until June 19th where players can acquire new recipes for cooking.
