Linkrealms Winter Beta Begins January 9th

Those eager to get back into the upcoming rebirth of the free-to-play sandbox MMORPG Linkrealms won't have to wait much longer. In a mere five days, on January 9th, the game's Winter Beta will begin.  At that time, "all registered users with a Beta Key" and Founder's Pack owners will be able to play "continuously for at least three weeks."

Several new features have been added since the Fall Beta. Players can now have up to five characters per account, up from the original one character per account limit. A new "Contract System" will allow craftsmen to take on work orders from NPCs and get a special currency in return. This currency "can be traded with Corporation Guildmasters for unique rewards." The team at Mythyn Interactive also claims that all of the game's creatures have now been balanced for "an adequate challenge at all stages of progression for their characters."

Alongside this announcement, Mythyn have announced that Linkrealms will be launching on Steam Early Access in March. All Founder's Pack owners will be provided a Steam key at the Steam Early Access launch free of charge. Early Access pricing for those who have not yet bought in has yet to be revealed, but it will likely mirror the current Founder's Pack pricing.
