Lord Of The Rings Online Buffs Brawler Damage And Threat Generation

It’s been two weeks since the Brawler arrived in Lord of the Rings Online, and while the name brings to mind a hulking fist fighter that can obliterate an enemy with a single punch, it appears that he could benefit from a bit more oomph to his attacks, which is exactly what Standing Stone Games did in this week’s patch.

Update 30.3.2 considerably beefs up the Brawler’s damage and increased the threat generated by their taunt. Brawlers should now jump to the top of the enemy’s threat list when they taunt an enemy. In addition, Aggressive and Defensive Postures will no longer be cancelled when they’re stunned. The team says that they will continue to monitor the Brawler’s DPS output and will be adjusting it accordingly.

The update also changes how Legendary Item rewards are given out in instances, which is now based on a character’s level range.

“New Legendary Item drops from instances will now only be found when playing the instance in your character's general level range. These level ranges are 50-85, 86-100, 101-105, 106-115, 116-120, 121-130, and eventually 130 to 140. From level 101 and above, Incomparable and Legendary rarity drops will only be found when playing at the next level cap or higher! This means that a level 110 character must be running an instance at 115-119 difficulty and a level 130 character must run at 130-139 difficulty. These restrictions do not apply to quest or reward track rewards, only instance rewards.”

The Champion’s Rend has also been re-balanced with the addition of an initial damage pulse to encourage players to cast the DoT ability more frequently during combat.
