The Lord Of The Rings: Living Card Game Enters Steam Early Access

Tired of digital card games yet? If not, you'll be glad to hear that The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game has enter Early Access on Steam. Developed by Fantasy Flight Interactive, the game costs $7.99 to get started via the cheapest founders pack. Additional options up to 47.99 for the Mithril Founders Pack are also available.

Inspired by the physical tabletop game that goes by the same 'Living Card Game' moniker, the game is published by Asmodee Digital, a studio with several other tabletop-to-digital conversions under its belt. The game has so far garnered mixed reviews, with many players upset at the fact that each campaign needs to be purchased individually in addition to the initial game purchase.

All-time peak players thus far have peaked at ~400 and have halved since the Early Access release on August 28. Digital card games have become popular among developers ever since Hearthstone ignited the genre back in 2014. Gwent and Artifact are two other digital card games that will see release this year.
