Lost Ark Has Had An Amazing First Week Says Amazon As They Continue To Work On Launch Issues

It’s undeniable that Lost Ark has had “an amazing first week” as Amazon Game Studios reports, despite the launch issues that continue to plague the game. The recently-released fantasy MMORPG continues to dominate on Steam, securing the second spot on the platform’s Most Played Games list and setting an all-time peak concurrency record of 1,325, 305 players over the weekend.
“Lost Ark is our first externally-developed game, and we’re very encouraged by the early player reception, and to be able to draw from the best of Amazon – from Prime Gaming and Twitch to Amazon retail and more – to help the game reach and delight a massive audience of players around the world,” said Mike Frazzini, VP of Games at Amazon.
Meanwhile, the team continues to work on addressing post-launch issues, including extremely long queues, missing premium items, and a story bug that halted all player progress on the Galatur server. In fact, they’ve just rolled out a small hotfix to improve stability on European servers which are struggling to cope with the demand.
A list of the top in-game issues can be found on the Lost Ark official forums.
