MapleStory opens up a brand new location as the second part of its Ignition update officially hits the live servers. The new Misty Island zone comes with a new questline for players to take on as they explore the new location.

“Travel to the remote Misty Island for an adventure filled with a battle for survival, explore the unknown, and uncover the mystery of the Lava Stones!”

Ignition Part 2 (which also happens to be the title of an R. Kelly song) also brings back the Fireworks Festival featuring new events that revolve around a performance by an NPC named DJ Selena. In addition to the Fireworks Festival, the update also kicks off holiday celebrations in the cult-classic MMORPG with new holiday-themed decorations up for grabs, including festive lights, a candy cane ladder, and other furnishings.
