Nexon is paving the way for MapleStory’s 19th anniversary next month as it rolls out Patch v250 on the classic MMORPG’s live servers. The update kicks off new Mayple Island events, revamps the Hieizan dungeon, and the ability to create a Zero character.

The Korean publisher also launched a new spinoff in Korea called MapleStory Worlds which allows players to create their own MapleStory-inspired games and content using official assets. “MapleStory Worlds allows users to create and share their own game contents with other players, utilizing Background Music and the vast graphic resources of Nexon’s beloved MapleStory IP, as well as their own creations,” reads the official launch press release.

The content creation platform is slated for global release in the latter half of this year. In the meantime, there’s new content for you to check out in the global version of the classic 2D MMORPG.
