Niantic Announces Marvel World Of Heroes Mobile AR Game Coming In 2023
If you’re a Marvel fan who’s into augmented reality gaming, then Niantic’s Marvel World of Heroes will definitely be right up your alley. The Pokemon Go developer’s latest entry to the mobile AR game pool will be launching on mobile devices sometime in 2023 with a new teaser trailer and not much else to herald its announcement during last weekend’s Disney D23 Expo.
“Become a Marvel Super Hero in the real world. Create your own hero, patrol your neighborhood to foil crimes, and team up with your friends as well as iconic Marvel heroes such as Spider-Man, Captain America, and Wolverine to save the Multiverse!”
True to its description, the official announcement trailer shows people in a park wielding superpowers from various superheroes in the franchise as they fight off unseen interdimensional enemies. It’s perfectly in line with the studio’s past live action trailers for Pokemon Go but doesn’t really reveal anything about the game.
Niantic has yet to announce a solid release date for Marvel World of Heroes but the FAQ on the official site promises a soft launch and beta test soon in selected regions.
