Mirage: Arcane Warfare Raw Gameplay Shown At PAX West

Torn Banner Studios showed off raw Mirage: Arcane Warfare gameplay footage at PAX West. The vibrant trailer is complete with screams, gore, and ridiculous rag-doll physics.

Unlike Chivalry, Mirage seems to be a far more character-based combat game—on paper, thanks to the infusion of high-fantasy skills. Instead of choosing a class which determines an armory, you choose your character with an array of unique magical skills. But you'll still primarily wield blades to remove other player's heads from their bodies.

The game also uses bold colors—royal purples and reds—that give it an arcade atmosphere; then the blood makes you realize it wouldn't be an appropriate addition for 8 year olds at the boardwalk.

You can watch the 12-minute highlight reel below.
