Monster Hunter World Will Give Away $70K For Proof Of Real Life Monsters

monster hunter world flying clawsCapcom and Monster Hunter World have teamed-up with Jon Downes, a real-life monster hunter and Cryptozoologist, and are offering £50,000 (roughly $70,000) for evidence of “real-life” monsters including the Loch Ness monster and Big Foot. Other monsters on the list are: Mongolian Death Worms, Mermaids, Earth Hounds, the Yeti, Chupacabras, the Flying Snake of Namibia, Yowie, and the Cornish Owlman.

Interested monster hunters have until June 30th to submit their evidence and get a chance of winning the prize money.

In other MHW news, Monster Hunter World and Street Fighter are coming together for a special event on PlayStation 4.

“Ryu and Sakura descend upon the world of Monster Hunter in round one of the Street Fighter V collaboration event, available for early access to anyone with Street Fighter V or Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition PS4 save data!”

Early access to the special event starts in mid-February 2018 and will let you forge a full Ryu armor set. Eligible players will also get access to unique titles and Guild Card backgrounds, along with Hadoken and Shoryuken gestures and a Street Fighter V sticker set.
