Monster Hunter World Is Getting Its First Major Update On March 22nd

monster hunter world deviljhoCapcom has just revealed the contents of the first major update for Monster Hunter World and boy is it a big one. The update will introduce a new monster called Deviljho, a bipedal Brute Wyvern that Monster Hunter 3 veterans will probably be familiar with.

According to Kotaku, the update will also feature changes and balances weapons. Charged Slash damage has been increased for Great Swords, Foresight Slash timing and hitbox have been improved, and Roundslash Damage and Slinger usability have been enhanced for Sword and Shields. Lances will also be easier to use, while Hammers will get a buff to their stun values. In fact, almost every weapon in the game, except bowguns, can expect type of buff when the update rolls out.

Aside from weapon rebalancing, the update will also include quality of life improvements such as reduced loading times, adjustable text size, and hit reaction immunity after completing a quest which means that your allies can no longer interrupt you while you’re carving away at your kill.

The massive update is scheduled to go live on March 22nd.
