Monsters And Memories Gears Up For Another Massive Stress Test This Weekend

Mark your calendars old school MMORPG fans, because Monsters and Memories is opening its doors again to everyone this weekend for another stress test. The playtest kicks off at 10 a.m. PDT on Saturday, August 10 and is expected to run for 12-24 hours depending on how things go.

The goal, of course, is to try and push the server to its limits to gather data for other servers to be opened in the future. “We’ll all cram into one server to start the test,” says developer Niche Worlds Cult. “If and when we get the data we need, we will open up the rest of the servers for an extended playtest.”

“The sooner we get the data we need, the sooner the other servers will come up, so please participate in the Stress Test phase!” the studio says. “If we run into stability issues, we may patch the game or, if absolutely necessary, end the playtest (with the hope of running another in the coming days or weeks after).”

Thousands of players are expected to participate in the stress test based on the last one which saw over 4,000 testers join the fray. Our next Stress Test is on Saturday, August 10th, starting at 1:00 PM EDT. We'll have everyone cram into one server to start, and when we get the data we need, we'll open the other servers.

We expect the test to run at least 12-24 hours.
