NCSoft Reports Record Breaking Q1 2020 Earnings Led By Lineage 2M

The South Korean gaming giant NCSoft reported recording breaking Q1 revenues and profits this last week led by the incredibly strong performance of Lineage 2M (which launched late last year). Total sales came in at 731,111M KRW ($593M USD) with operating profit at 241,424M KRW ($196M).

More interestingly though is the company's breakdown of sales by game. Lineage 2M had an incredibly strong performance for the quarter and combined with Lineage M made up about 75% of total revenues (The 2 games combined made ~$450M).

Guild Wars 2 brought in about $10M for the quarter, Aion did about $8M, while Blade and Soul did $16M. As with previous quarters Lineage remains by far the most popular and profitable franchise in the company's portfolio. The vast majority of sales were also derived from South Korea which has always been the case for NCSoft.
