Neverwinter rings in the holidays with the return of the D&D MMORPG’s Festival of Simril event which will run from later today until January 5th. This year’s winter festival will feature the same fun-filled holiday activities as previous years but without the old Simril lightcrafting quests that were available in previous years.

“With the introduction of the new profession in 2018, Simril Lightcrafting has been removed as a profession,” announced Cryptic. “Players can locate Yimril Starheart, a contact in the fishing area of Twilight Tor, that will perform the old lightcrafting tasks for the same (or less) material cost.”

Players, however, will still be able to visit Twilight Tor for the traditional sled races, monster fights, and ice fishing with four new Vanity fish pets up for grabs. Players will also get a Starlight Parcel vouchers for each day that they login during the event which can then be exchanged for Starlight Parcels that have a chance to contain rare and seasonal event rewards. Alternatively, players can also purchase the Simril Starlight Pack from the cash shop which contains 20 Starlight Parcels and 14 days of VIP.

Players can also earn Lights of Simril and Stars of Fortune that they can exchange for additional rewards, including the new Baby Displacer Beast companion, the Frozen Gorgon mount, the Broom of Twilight mount, Slugs vanity pets, and various gear transmutes. The Winter Fox companion and rewards from previous Festival of Simril runs are also now available for purchase via the cash shop if you missed them during their initial offerings.
