Neverwinter Is Bringing Back The Masquerade Of Liars Halloween Event Tomorrow
Neverwinter is bringing back its Masquerade of Liars event tomorrow, bringing with it the usual array of Halloween-themed quests to complete and rewards to earn. A handful of new rewards will also be up for grabs, including an owlbear costume, a witch’s broom mount, and a Mask of the Fallen item.
“The time has come, once again, for the most fiendish of creatures to invade the Enclave - bringing with them a celebration of deception, lies, and a little competition. This year, 3 factions are once again vying for your attention, each with their own agenda and rewards!”
This year’s Contest of Liars community event will also feature one slight change. Teams will no longer be split based on the winning teams from prior years and the oldest team will be removed each year to make room for a new one. The Clan of the Fallen team will be joining the Madcap Mashers and Toil & Trouble as this year’s newest team.
Like previous iterations of the Contest of Liars, players will be tasked with collecting treats by completing daily quests. The team with the most stockpiled treats when the contest ends will be declared the winner. All members of the winning team who’ve reached the minimum contribution amount will receive a free gift and additional bonuses.
“Unlike previous years, the winning team’s illusion mask will not be awarded directly. Instead, a Masquerade Veil Choice Pack containing masks of the three active teams for that year will be available at the event vendor to claim by members of the winning team,” said Cryptic. “Players not on the winning team will receive a Consolation Prize, which includes 200 Masquerade Tokens and will be able to purchase the Masquerade Veil Choice Pack for 1200 tokens.”
Meanwhile, the Rothe Valley event is now on its final leg so if you’re still gunning for that adorable account-wide panda mount, you’d better pick up the pace.
