Neverwinter is joining other MMOs in celebrating the holidays as the D&D-inspired free-to-play MMORPG brings back Winter Festival of Simril this week. The event begins on December 14th and will run until January 4th, offering the usual array of winter-themed activities in the village of Twilight Tor such as sled racing, ice fishing, defeating ice monsters, and stargazing.

This year’s rewards include the traditional Starlight Parcels and vendor rewards, with several new items thrown, including the new Reclusive Rothé mount, the Riotous Rothé pet, and the Starlight Fashion outfit set. Star of Fortune items from previous years will also be available for purchase in the cash shop for the duration of the event.

This year’s winter festival will also feature a major change with Simril Lightcrafting being removed from the list of profession options. Lightcrafting tasks will be performed by Yimril Starheart for roughly the same material cost. He can be found hanging out in the fishing area of the village.

Event details can be found on the Neverwinter official site.
