Gearbox Publishing (formerly Perfect World Entertainment) and Cryptic Studios have announced the next Neverwinter module, Dragonslayer, and it’s launching less than a month from now. Dragonslayer will be the D&D-inspired MMORPG’s 23rd module and will introduce the new Dragon Hunt system and is loosely-based on last year’s Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons D&D sourcebook.

“The new module will introduce a brand-new Dragon Hunt system, which lets adventurers battle various chromatic dragons – from icy White Dragons to cunning Green Dragons – of different ages (Young, Adult, Ancient), with each dragon type presenting its own unique set of challenges to overcome, lairs to explore and rewards to acquire.”

Dragon Hunt is a queued instance where players can take on young dragons solo, adult dragons with two other players, and ancient dragons with a full party of five players. Progressing through the Dragon Hunt questline will reward players will open the doors to new ancient dragon hunts and the chance to obtain various rewards in exchange for parts harvested from defeated dragons.

The Dragonslayer module will also revamp creatures and dragons with new attacks, spells, and the ability to fly. The Temple of Tiamat trial will also be updated with new mechanics and challenges as well as options for Normal and Master difficulty.

Dragonslayer simultaneously launches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 14th. In the meantime, don’t forget to check out the brand new announce trailer below. You can also head over to the Neverwinter official site for more details.
