New PC MMORPG Astellia Royal Launched On December 10th

A new free to play MMORPG called Astellia Royal has launched on December 10, 2020. The Astellia name may sound familiar to keen readers of MMO news. Astellia Online was originally launched in the West as a buy-to-play game in 2019, but shut down in its native region of Korea several months later. It seems Astellia Royal is the latest version of the game and marks its return to Korea. It should be noted that Astellia Royal is not a spin-off battle royal title. It is the same MMORPG as Astellia Online.

The Western version of Astellia Online is still in service and there's no word yet on how the two titles will coexist in the West. Astellia Royal is developed by Studio 8, a subsidiary of Barunson E&A and published by Way2Bit -- the same companies behind Astellia Online.

For those of you who have been waiting for the game to go free to play, now is the perfect time to give the summoned-pet themed fantasy MMORPG a try!
