New World Gets Flooded With Complaints Over Season Of The Guardian And Slayer Script

If you were expecting the New World dev team to have polished Season of the Guardian to a gleaming shine during its month-long delay, then you’re in for a big disappointment. Players started complaining about the all of the season’s new features as soon as it was out of the gate, noting map issues, weird running animations, changed character faces, wonky controller behavior, and overpowered Outpost Rush mounts.

Most of the complaints, however, are being aimed at the new Slayer Script system and how players preferred the feel of the old combat system over the new one. It’s worth noting that addressing feedback about the Slayer Script’s new combat and animation systems was the main reason why Amazon decided to delay Season of the Guardian’s release in the first place.

The team has at least fixed some of the non-Slayer Script related issues with a hotfix that addressed ridiculously fast bow attacks and the Sacred Ground skill locking onto nearby players even when targeted healing had been toggled off. As for what Amazon is planning to do about the Slayer Script complaints, we’ll just have to wait and see.
