New World Announces Season Of The Guardian Launch Date And Upcoming Server Merges

The wait for New World’s next season is nearly over as the long-delayed Season of the Guardian finally gets a launch date of April 2. The new season and its accompanying update was initially scheduled to arrive earlier this month, but was pushed back to fine-tune the Upgraded Combat and Animation systems, a.k.a. the Slayer Script.

Season 5 will also feature a new max-level Seasonal Trial called the Winter Rune Forge along with a whole host of balance changes to perks, nerfs to last season’s new artifacts, and less durable Outpost Rush doors among others.

Meanwhile, Amazon is preparing for another round of server merges on March 27 which will affect eight servers in Europe and four in the US. Character creation and character transfers have now been disabled and Wars have been canceled and refunded on the affected servers.
