It’s all aboard the Nightingale hype train as Inflexion Games drops a new gameplay trailer for the shared-world survival crafting game ahead of its early access launch next month. The IGN-exclusive 20-minute video takes walks viewers through the early parts of the game and how to construct a base from scratch.

“In this new gameplay of Nightingale, Puck welcomes the player to build an estate - a home base - in a relatively safe Abeyance Forest Realm,” writes IGN.

As previously revealed, the game takes place in various realms collectively known as the Fae Realms. Each realm will present its own dangers and challenges which players must overcome as they build a portal to the next realm and make their way towards the safety of Nightingale following an apocalyptic event known as The Pale.

The game’s basically follows the same formula as most survival crafting games where you’re dropped into some desolate world with nothing but your wits and your breeches. You must then gather resources to craft the tools you need to build a home base and ultimately a portal to a new realm with different resources to collect and new creatures to be wary of.

The video also provides another look at Realm Cards, which you’ll need to activate portals and will determine the realm that it leads to. The Abeyance Card, for example, can be used to activate a portal to the Abeyance Forest.

Inflexion Games is promising more reveals this week and in the lead up to Nightingale’s launch on February 22. In the meantime, you can check out the extended gameplay trailer below.
