Jagex is giving Old School RuneScape players another chance to start from scratch and on equal footing with other players when it opens new Fresh Start Worlds later this month. The new servers will be free-to-play and will run for six months before its population is transferred to the main servers, giving new players the perfect opportunity to jumpstart their journey in Gielinor and old players the chance to secure world first achievements.

“One of the major problems reported by new players is that they don’t get this experience – everyone they meet is further along in their journey,” said Jagex. “Fresh Start Worlds offers the unique opportunity to start from scratch with thousands of other players at your side.”

“We reckon that after six months, new players will have had plenty of time to get to grips with the game and will be ready to progress further and at a faster pace,” the studio added.

The new Fresh Start Worlds will officially be opening their doors on October 19th for those who want to relive the new-player experience all over again.
