Overwatch Summer Games Event returns, brings Competitive Lucioball, New Skins

Last year, Overwatch celebrated the Olympic Games with a "Games" event of its own - the Overwatch Summer Games. Though the Olympic Games run every 2 years - alternating between Summer and Winter games - many players were left wondering if the Summer Games event would be coming back. Well, Blizzard quickly answered that question - yes. Yes it is.

Overwatch Seasonal Event | Summer Games 2017

The Summer Games event returns, running from August 8th, until August 28th. During this time, players can acquire new skins - three of which are previewed in the thumbnail of the video above! - and old skins from 2016's Summer Games event. The new skins will run at standard event prices (3x the price of a normal cosmetic), and the old skins - like Nihon Genji - will be at standard skin prices! That means 250 coins for a Purple-tier skin, and 1,000 coins for a Legendary. However, after August 28th, these skins will no longer be available - presumably until the 2018 Summer Games event.
